My acupuncturist may cringe at this suggestion because winter is primarily for warm foods, but its so hot inside heated homes that if you are sweltering indoors… it may be time to make ice pops!!! Its also cool when you have friends over to whip out a homemade dessert.
Yogurt, a little honey, some frozen fruit or fresh fruit…blend & freeze in a fun container like THESE. If you want to get fancy, add a little more honey and some basil with strawberries, blackberries or blueberries for a little herbal ice effect. I’ve also had good luck with a big dose of cinnamon and a bit of cardamom stirred into homemade applesauce then hand-blended with yogurt.

PLEASE NOTE: these foods are not negative calorie in the sense that you will burn calories by eating them. It means that these foods are low cal enough that the digestion of them requires as much energy as you take in by eating them, making them virtually 0 calories.
